  • With the help of map, you can center the region of your interest right away. The tags and list of places will be loaded accordingly.
  • The search engine contains two separate fields: Where and What. In the Where you can enter the name of the place, and it will be opened on the map. In the What you can define the place you are searching for – for instance, ‘bar’, ‘club’, or anything else.
  • Tags. You can see the most popular tags for the selected region. When choosing a tag, you are shown other corresponding tags.
  • Place list. It contains information about the places that are selected in the region that is showed on the map.
  • Through the place list and/or the markers visible on the map you can find more information about the place in question, and to access the section ‘Open place.


Adding a place

  • To add a place, first, you have to open the section ‘Places’, find the corresponding region on the map, make sure that the place has not been added yet – and click on the ‘Add place’ button up on the left.
  • Place the green marker exactly on the place you want to add (if necessary, zoom in the map).
  • Fill in the requested fields of the form that opens on the left.
    • Write the name of the place (for example, Chili Pica Galerija Centrs);
    • Compose the description of the place;
    • Enter the tags;
    • Add photos of the place, if you have any. Even if no photos are added it is possible that there will be several pictures available through the bonvoyagee.com links.
  • Click ‘Add’.


Open place

  • Above the map where you can see the location of the place, you can see four major sections:
    • Description. By clicking it you can access the full description of the place (just like clicking ‘Read more…’ under the description). Any registered user can edit the description of the place by clicking ‘Edit’ under the description both in the open place and open description.
    • People. Here you can see all the people that have added that place to any of their maps. In other words – they are people that like the place, they have chosen it. Those that have added that place to their map most recently are seen directly under the description. To add that place to your maps, click on ‘Add’ on the left under the map.
    • Tags. This link directs you to the list of all the tags the place is described with. By opening this list you can add new tags.
    • Galleries. If you open this section you can access all the pictures of that place other users have added. In case there are no pictures we use the picture database of panoramio.com that shows pictures in the closest area around the particular place.
  • Directly under the map, right next to ‘Add’, you can see an icon. By clicking it you mark the place in question as your location. Your location will be visible to anybody who will open either your profile or the profile of that particular place.
  • On the right to the map you can see the user that has created that place.
  • Next to the user, you can see the ratings. If you have rated that place, you can see you own rating. If not, but you have rated enough places before, in stead of your rating you will see your predicted rating. Below you can see the average daily rating. You can rate any place an unlimited number of times, only your last rating will be taken into consideration. Below that, you can see the number of comments given about that particular place.
  • Before the comments, there is a button ‘Comment’. By clicking on it, you can express your opinion regarding the place and rate it. If you haven’t rated the place yet, you have to do it when commenting. If you have rated it already, you don’t have to do it again.


Open user

  • Above the map where you can see the latest location of the user, there are four sections:
    • About. In this section, next to the map you can see information about the user. Above it there is a link ‘Add to contacts/Delete’ that allows you to add that user to your contacts or delete him/her from them. If that user is among your contacts, you can follow their activities in your profile. Here, they are visible under the map.
    • Contacts. Here you can see the contacts of the user in question, and visit their profiles.
    • Maps. Here you can see the list of the maps created by that user.
    • Comments. All the comments by that user. There are also links to the places those comments were made about.


Your profile

  • On the right hand from your picture there is a link ‘Change your settings’ that enables you to change your profile information, password and e-mail address, as well as to delete your profile.
  • By default, when you open your profile you see the section ‘Events’ that shows all the latest activities of your contacts. Among them, the added places, comments, created maps etc.
  • In the section Maps you can create your own maps, to add the places you have selected to, so you could find them easier later. In a way, it is like making your own selection. For instance, you can make a map ‘Tea-shops’ where you mark all the tea-shops you like. Or a map ‘Trip to Madrid’ where you mark all the places you want to visit, or – on the contrary – all the places you have already visited.
